does exits contains Bounces and Pageview contains entrances

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if the pageviews contains the # of entrances as well in it ?

Eg:

Pageviews - 100

Entrances - 10

Bounces - 5

Exits - 50

No pageview 100 contains the 10 entrances in it as well ?

The 50 exits contains the 5 bounces as well ?

I think it does incorporate bounces in exits, but I would wanna be sure about it.

Thanks,

Navi

Hi Navaneeth,

Google Analytics records an entrance for each page that a user begins a new session on. You're right, pageviews contain entrances as well.

Exit page refers to the last page a user accesses before their session ends or they leave the site. Bounces and exits are completely different things in Google Analytics.

Recommend reading those two topics to get a better understanding:

Hope this helps.
