closed funnel analysis for page events

I have a client who would like me to run reports for different landing pages, each which generates a different url when clicking on things on the page. As an example, I was shown a closed funnel report for actions taken from a landing page to a thank you page, in which case the correct way to set the report up is obvious. But, anything I've read online about events on the same page seems to indicate that you put the name of the text clicked as the event, instead.  I have to run these types of reports for actions taken on 30 different landing pages, so the url landing page has to be defined somewhere in the stage. Thanks!
