Hi Guys,

Anyone here who is an expert in Google Analytics Acquisition Report? When I open the Landing Page on google/organic as the source, it shows a different website. All pages on my landing page and all source/ medium. What does it mean and how should i fix it? I am no expert on this and i have been checking the codes and tracking code, but can't figure out how does it happen.

Hope you can help me with this.

Thanks

Hi,

if you go Behavior --> Site Content --> Landing Pages

Just below the graph you have a button 'Secondary Dimension'

type in to search box 'hostname' and select it

So if you sort the report based on host name you can see websites that are not yours?

If anyone of them contains 'free' 'casino' or something else spammy like you need an include filter that includes only traffic to your own site. Before we go there let us know your findings

Hello, thanks for your reply, i really appreciate it. Yes I saw the hostname and I get the right one, though opening the landing page/s (the one that opens in a new browser) weird thing is, the website is not ours. I checked the other sites that I am handling and they're fine. Just this one that shows a different site. I really don't how this happen.

Thanks

Hi Natalie,

It looks like there is spam traffic coming to your site. Identify the sources and exclude them by setting up filters. You can add list of updated spam sources from here http://www.simoahava.com/spamfilter/.

Hi,

I have the same issue, where my old website website was in my 'ads & extensions' and 'landing page' columns. It must have done this automatically for some reason???

I have been able to change it to the correct website in the 'ads & extensions' column, but need to know how to change it in the 'landing page' column. I don't see a option for 'Behavior' anywhere, if you can please direct me, it would be appreciated.

I imagine right now I'm paying for people to go to the wrong website!

Thanks for your help
