Will modifying existing goal URLs remove historical goal data?

Hi - Will modifying existing goal URLs remove historical goal data?  We have a site that is being migrated and will have the same goal - but new URL for the goal. We want to be able to ensure that the historical data remains when we do change the goal destination url to the new one.

Hi, Brian Z,

Modifying your Goal URLs will not alter your historical data. In general, historical data cannot be changed. Just remember to update your goal configuration so that conversions can continue to be captured via the new URL. Also probably good to put in an annotation into your reports to indicate when the URL was changed so that any possible confusion is avoided.

Hope this helps.
