Why is there a data discrepancy between 2 similar analytics Views?

Hi - on one Google Analytics account, I have 2 views. One was meant for testing but in fact, the only configuration difference is that one View has Goals set up and the other does not. Neither View has any filters. They are essentially duplicate Views. Yet there is a significant discrepancy between how they each report on Sessions, Users, Pageviews, etc. Can anyone explain why that would be? (The largest differences seem to be in Direct traffic numbers).

Hi, Brian.

Multiple views within operates overs the same data set of the property. Tracking codes can not send different data to different views. So there hardly could be any difference in numbers in indetical views. I'd suggest you to doublecheck your views settings, date ranges and sampling withing reports if applicable
