Viewing number of users for a subsection of a site

Hello,

I would like to view the number of users and sessions for a sub-section of a site (e.g. www.site/maths + all pages below 'maths).

Is this possible? I can only get it to show pageviews

Thanks,

Jess

Hey Jess,

You can create a segment like this one for session in which the page path is touched:

https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/template?uid=XSduoOC_STmiQxMpgTA0Eg

just replace /us-en with whatever subdirectory you'd like and save as your own.

Or try this custom report that I whipped up for you:

Best,

Hi,

Thanks for this - it's really useful. However, the two reports are not pulling the same data for me (likely user error at my end). For the first I have entered /maths/ and for the second I'm using the drill down but there are no additional pages. Any ideas?

Thanks again,

Jess

Hi Jess,

I doubt it's user error.  It simply drills down into your content - if it's there.  It should work fine as long as you have additional subdirectories or pages after /maths

e.g. /maths/algebra/basic-laws
