User flow within same pagetype

It seems to me that the User Flow report doesn't show me referrals to the same pagetype I'm looking at. So f.e. looking at "/product" I don't have "/product" as next step - even if some users are likely to visit "/product/B" over a link on "/product/A" since there is cross-linking.

Is this a common behavior?

Does it have to do with my settings?

(Or is there just nobody clicking on those cross-links...?)

Hi Harry,

How did you define page types - with custom dimensions or content groupings?

Hi Harry,

Take the Behavior > Behavior Flow report instead. Specify your given content grouping as view type.

However, what you're describing is a feature by design - so, all page views within the same group are lumped together in that content group. So, there are no self referrals by design.
