Understanding what contributed to the difference in comparative reports

Is there any way to view what factors contributed to performance differences between two time periods? An example, lets say I see a jump in traffic from this month to last because of an SEO positioning jump. Is there any central way of seeing it as a contributing factor to the traffic bump without sorting through several reports? I know adobe offers something like this with anomaly detection, and google does this somewhat with intelligence events, but I'd like to see for specific metrics what contributed to their change from one period to the next.
