Under Behavior/All pages i can see pages with UTM tracking in the end

Hello,

I have a problem with Behavior reporting. Under All pages i can see pages with UTM in the end. F.ex.:

/products/automation/?source=google&medium=cpc&keyword=rockwell&matchtype=b&creative=100707602084&device=c&campaign=offer_2016.

Correct page name can be without UTM in the end:  /products/automation/

Why there are a lot of pages with UTM tagging in the end? Is it from mixing manual and auto-tagging from AdWords account?

Please help!

Hi Sanita,

Auto-tagging by default overrides any manual tagging, which would cause GA to disregard your UTM parameters.

If you want to override auto-tagging with manual tagging, here are the instructions from Google's support page (although this will lose all of the additional data provided by auto-tagging):

  1. Sign in to Google Analytics.
  2. Select the Admin tab and navigate to the relevant property.
  3. In the PROPERTY column, click Property Settings.
  4. Under Advanced Settings, select the Allow manual tagging (UTM values) to override auto-tagging (GCLID values)checkbox.
  5. Click Save.

Best,

Mike
