I am trying to track email clicks.  I built the URL with URL Builder but my test clicks do not show up under the Acquisition section.  Can anyone help me to get this set up correctly?

Hi Carlye,

There is a delay in reporting, it can take a few hours for the data to show up.

It's been about 2 days. Does it feasibly take that long?

It shouldn't take that long. What URL did you try?

This is the URL I got from the URL Builder:

http://leadseek.net/2016/01/06/the-path-to-growth-starts-with-marketing/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium...

I hyperlinked that into a Word doc and used mail merge.

The problem is that your site has no Google Analytics tracking code installed. You need to install a tracking snippet on your site in order to collect data.

You are using Wordpress, the easiest way is to install GA is using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/

You can also install the tracking code using Google Tag Manager or by adding the code directly to your Wordpress template. Check the document below for details:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008080?hl=en

Your URL seems to be fine. The data will appear in the Acquisition -> Campaigns -> All Campaigns report once you get the tracking code installed.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Arnold. I'm still not seeing anything show up in my Acquisition reports. I tested the link again and still nothing in Analytics. Any help you can provide?

Hi,

Analytics is installed now on the site and the URL is OK. There is always some delay in GA, the data should show up within a few hours at latest. The Yoast plugin has an option to disable tracking when you are logged in as admin, please test the URL when logged out or using another browser. I clicked the link also. Let me know if the data appears in Acquisition -> Campaigns -> All Campaigns.

Hi Arnold. Thanks so much for all your help. I do see the traffic from the email campaign, but is there a way to report on which specific email addresses clicked the link?
