Traffic results with www and no-www

Hello,

Is it possible to know which URL of my site (with and without www) gets more traffic? (www-domain is not-verified in Webmaster Tools, and no-www-domain is verified). I guess the verified domain has a 301, but not sure. How can I know this? Sorry if this is a level-0 question.

Thank you for your assistance!

Gustavo

Hi Gustavo,

You can create a new view and add a filter to it that will include the full URL in the reports. Please see this document for the details: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1012243?hl=en

You can check if an URL has a 301 redirect using services like http://redirectdetective.com/

If you actually have 2 places people can land (and stay) on your server, then GA will record 2 hostnames (Audience > Tehcnology > Network > Hostname report).

[be aware, if you haven't dealt with spam referrals, there may be a lot of junk domains in this report - ignore it]

Thank you, Arnold.

Haven't add the filter yet, but certainly will help it to make it easier.

Cheers,
