Tracking the effect of hreflang codes

Hey Guys,

I'm working with a Canadian website that recently implemented hreflang codes for a number of pages with their US counterpart.

They'd now like to measure the effect that these codes are having.

First issue:

I'm having trouble pulling the following information:

For a Specific page --> Google organic traffic only --> of that group, US traffic only

Second issue:

Is there a way to automate a report to pull this once a week for ~140 pages? I would love to not have to check 140 pages manually each week!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I believe for your initial question, Google organic and US traffic (geo), you just need to create a custom segment - easy as that.

Second issue - either do a report inside GA which you can send via scheduled email yet an even better option is to schedule the reporting in google sheets or similar. This highly depends on what you exactly report on - which metrics / dimensions.

Kind regards,
