Too Many URLs

We are getting a "Too Many URLs" warning in Google Analytics, also data is being slow to reflect in the UI.

The issue is, that we literally have too many URLs, far more than the 50,000 limit. There are no URL parameters to trim off, these are simply valid pages receiving traffic.

How can we address, or approach, this issue?

Hi Nathan,

Interesting problem. As you outlined, this typically occurs when there are too many URL parameters which makes 1 page appear as many and can be addressed with the "Exclude URL Query Parameters".

Since that's not the case for you, you may need to look at unique and less than ideal options. For example,  you could you segment your data across a few Views. Each with filters to only display some of your overall traffic.

We simply have "too many URLs" on a few reports, hitting both limits. To be honest it's of little concern.

The primary issue, is high latency and inaccuracy for circa 12 hours, that is, stats are only correct after 12+ hours have passed, before that time on hourly view the hour by hour values are either zero, or ~65% lower than they should be.

We're getting used to it, though we did have a few mild heart attacks in the initial days.
