Testing events but also excluding internal traffic

Hello all

I have just been introduced to the joys of TagManager and am having fun setting up various events for clicking videos, downloads etc.  Testing these is generating lots of false events which I don't want to be recorded against the website and we also want to remove all internal traffic across the board.

I am aware that I could set up a filter based on our IP and this works, but my question is how can I verify any new Events I am creating are coming through to GA when the filter is active?  Previously, I believe, the real-time Event report ignored filters so we could have both internal traffic filtered AND be able to test new Events.

Thank you in advance

Jon

Answering my own question here, but our organisation is coming up as a Service Provider in Network, so I was able to setup a segment to deal with that, which is very handy indeed.
