Tabbed Browsing - Google Analytics Implications

We are about to test something on our sites: on category pages, clicks on product links will open them in a new tab.

While it appears that this doesn't have an impact on GA sessions (it doesn't consider a new tab to be a new session), I was wondering if there are maybe some other implications to be aware of?

For instance, on page path reports: will everything be captured as without tabbed browsing (previous/next page)?

What about time on site (session duration)? and time on page?

Thanks to anyone who is familiar with this implementation

Hi Nadir,

It will have no impact on GA data collection or reporting.  UX is another thing entirely. Smiley Happy
