We have recently updated tracking code with content and sub content groups.

How do you report on the sub content groups?

If you're trying to get a hierarchical view of content/sub-content groups, try setting up a custom report which uses your content groups as levels.

Thanks but the sub content groups don't seem to be offered as a dimension drilldown in reports.

The Admin section states "Use this screen to create up to five Content Groupings, each with as many subgroups (Content Groups) as you want." But there doesn't seem to be anywhere on any instruction on how to add subgroups to Content groupings.
