Strange statistics from Google Analytics

Hi,

i know that real time report in GA isn't so reliable but the last 1-2 months i observe a very strange behavior from the real time report. Let me explain you.

Many times when i add a post that goes straight on top of my posts with a lot of "hits" the overall number of my real time visitors fall down..it isn't so normal i think.

Also, i observed that in specific periods of the day for example 9-12 am or 6-9pm, my real time report is EVERYDAY between a standard number for example 9-12am is between 500-600 and 6-9pm between 700-800, regardless the posts i do or anything else.

I assume that Analytics use some kind of cache memory while counting real time visitors of sites. Does anyone know it for sure and how often this cache if used makes a refresh?

Where can i find answers in general for the GA, just here?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Kind Regards,

Dimitris
