Searches for a porn site with a similar name is skewing our reports

We are getting about 20% of the clicks to our site from people around the world that are searching for a porn site with a similar name as ours.  I don't want to mention the name so I'll call our site "companynamerepair.com" the porn site is "companyname.com"  To be clear, it's not companyname, its a porn site's name similar to our legitimate business name - not porn related.

I see a lot of organic searches and clicks with an extremely high bounce rate for this similar name.

Is there anything I can do about this?  It's ruining our bounce rate, time on page, etc.

Hi :-)
You could create a new View and add a filter to exclude visits from organic where keyword is similar business name

You could also create a segment to exclude these visits too, so as to view historical data without rubbish visits included.

Thanks for your ideas.  I thought of those too, but was thinking that having a higher bounce rate, lower Pages / Session and lower  session duration was signalling Google that the site was lower quality.

When I filter out those segments, I see the numbers are pretty good.  Am I wrong for worrying about how those are impacting my ranking in the SERPs?

If you think it helps the conversation, I could give you the names of the sites.  I just didn't want to promote or mention the porn site by name.  What do you think?
