Reports showing very different results

Hi guys. I started up a new Analytics account for a client of mine a month ago. My client already had an account for the same website which she created a few months ago but at the time I didnt have access to it.

I have since compared the results from both accounts and we have received very different statistics. Some of these numbers are vastly different. For example, one report shows 166 page views while the other shows 2,504 page views for the same calendar dates. One shows 162 sessions, the other 292.

What could be causing such a big difference in results for the two accounts when the exact same website and dates are being analysed?

Hi,

Any filters at the GA view level?

Best Regards,
GA Guru.

'Star' or 'Accept as Solution' if it helped.

Hi GA Guru
Thanks for replying. No filters are present in either account. No referrer domains excluded either. Both accounts have the exact same settings. Have you heard of this happening to anyone before?
