Since Jan 04 the pageviews in the homepage of my website jumped from 200/day to more than 50k. (in a normal day the entire site can get more than 500k pageviews). It seems Analytics is transferring audience from internal pages to the homepage.

Anyone noticed something like this?

Thanks

Hi Lucas

Nothing like that.

Did you see any significant changes in the numbers of internal pages pageviews?

What is the source/medium breake up of increased homepage views?

About all of them are Direct accesses from computer devices.

No significant changes in internal pages pageviews count.

Home page used to have 0,5% of all site traffic, now it's 50% and up.

*I did not made any change in the javascript code. I'm inspecting the requests made when browsing to see if the homepage is being called somewhere, but didn't find anything.

That's really odd situation. I suggest it could be some front-end issue or maybe spam.

Sorry that i couldn't help you

Average time on home-page skyrocketed too, from: 1m42s to 10m22s.

Strange that the increase in pageviews metrics seems to follow the pattern of the site (i.e. increased audience in early weekdays than weekends (for example, jan 09 and 15).
