Referral sources when looking at an entire website and then a view of a subdirectory

Hi there.

Looking at a view of the whole of a website, I see a referrer who sends traffic to the website, but not directly to a subdirectory.

This means that none of the landing pages for this referrer are in the sub directory.

But when I look at the view of the sub directory, the referrer shows up a source in the landing pages section.

Isn't this a bit misleading?

What is the best way to quantify this traffic?

Jon530,

Your scenario is a tad bit confusing.  If you'd like to know where a referring site is directing pages then you have many choices to do this.  Probably the simplest would be to drill in to the referrer in question (click) and add a secondary dimension of landing page to the report in Acquisition>>ALL Traffic >> Referrals.

Best,
