Redirects to external domain - tracking in GA

Hi,

My domain is www.abc.com (with GA which i can access) and there is our vendor website www.xyz.com (external domain - i do not have access to this GA).

There is this link www.abc.com/blah, which is a vanity url that redirects to the landing page in www.xyz.com/blahblah.aspx.

Now how can I see the data in GA for www.abc.com/blah ? is this possible to see traffic data for a redirect to an external domain with the vanity URL in my internal domain.

Hope my issue made sense. Let me know if I need to explain better to help understand the issue.

Thanks,

Navi

Hi,

You can track clicks on the link www.abc.com/blah as events or virtual pageviews.

Check the document below about events:

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/events

And this document about virtual pageviews:

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/pages#tracking_virtual_page...

Let me know if you have questions or if you need help with the implementation.
