Quality difference between lm.facebook and m.facebook referrals?

I've read up on the whole link shim and security implementations from Facebook regarding link shimming and the new l.facebook and lm.facebook. Makes sense.

What I'm scratching my head about is the quality difference. Any incoming referrals from the link shims (l. or lm. but noticeably more lm. ) have way higher bounce rates, half the amount of pages per sessions, and less time on site.

What's going on here? Technically they are the same link and same final source in the end?

Hi Lowell,

I've checked the large account of mine and I don't see big differences in bounce rates etc. between facebook.com and l.facebook.com (similar for mobile hosts). Have you been looking at data sets large enough to compare?
