Hi, as far as I am aware manual UTM tagging is the only way to keep track of your non Adwords campaigns. But that means a dozen manual tags each day in order to track what content works best, what campaign work best, etc. Can this really be the case?! Am I missing something fundamental? Pls help! One of the biggest mysteries of online marketing for me!

Yes, you have to use UTM parameters for specific, non-referral, non-adwords campaigns.

One other way is to only use 1 utm_id parameter and feed Google Analytics with a CSV file containing the values expected in utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaing and utm_content (go to Admin > Property > Data import)

For example: in my forum signature, I link to http://juliencoquet.com/en?utm_id=tcen

But in the admin, I uploaded a file that looks like:

ga:campaignCode,ga:medium,ga:source,ga:campaign
tcen,social,google,Google Advertiser Community

This will of course update your traffic acquisition reports
