Not Set and other generic domain names showing up in analytics report

Hi,

When I run Google Analytics on visitors to our site and pull the Network Domain, sometimes we will see the actual name of the company, sometimes it will say "not set" and sometimes it is a generic carrier name such as Verizon or Comcast.  Does anyone know why the "not set" is showing and why we can see the company name in some cases, but not always?

Many thanks!

Hi,
(not set) is a placeholder name that Analytics uses when it hasn't received any information for the dimension you have selected. The reasons for (not set) appearing as a dimension value vary according to the report.

I hope this helps.
