What I normally do to find the next page path:

1. Behavior/Site Content/All pages

2. Find the page I want the next page path of and click on it

3. Click the navigation menu and change the list to the max of 500 pages

For the home page, for instance, there are 35k+ next page path views, but there are more than 500 rows. Nearly 10% of the page views aren't provided with an actual link because of the 500 rows limit.

I've tried a customized report with next page path but the results don't pull correctly (and it's a deprecated dimension).

How else can I get at this data?

Google Analytics does not record the 'next page'...but it does record the previous page and the [current] page.  Create a custom report for page, filtered for previous page = [home page], and you will get the 'next' pages for your homepage.
