Most common tables exporting from API

Hello, we are using a service to extract data into an external database which will feed into Tableau. I would like the data taxonomy to be sure before we base any long-term reporting work on it. For that reason, does anyone know of the most-common dimension/metric table combos that can be used to provide the most complete data picture across multiple dimensions and metrics? I understand some dimension and metrics cannot be queried together and I am familiar with the dimension and metric explorer that GA provides, but getting advice from people regarding tables that provide the most complete picture of extracted data is what I'm hoping to find. Thank you.

I am not aware of any published listing, but be aware that you would need a hierarchical database structure to handle user, session, page, event, transaction, item, and social hit types. Since there is a limit of 7 dimensions and 10 metrics in an API query, you would not be able to reproduce the whole selection of dimensions available in a single query. You would need to pick what matters most to you.
