More sessions than pageviews

Hi! I need help with this problem.
I want to analyze only a section of a page. To do that I used this filter:
Custom – include – Filter field: Request URI www.mydomain.com/(en|es)/(sectionen*|sectiones*)
The problem is that it says we have more sessions than pageviews.
How is it possible?

The unfiltered view does not display this problem so it might be an issue with the filters applied. Another things that this site does on some subsections (another filtered view exhibits this issue) is an OAuth2 authentication process to the main app. Could this be cause of the problem?

Attached is an image of the view
Thanks for your help!

Hi Melisa,

the filter in question is 'questionable' as you are using the request URI field which by default does not contain the hostname part (unless you used an additional filter to add hostname to request URI).

Try changing the filter expression to:
^/(en|es)/sectione

The issue with Sessions vs Pageviews in this case may be also tied to page less sessions (event only) or similar.

In any case I would try to edit the filter first and continue from there.

Kind regards,

Thanks for your help, Zorin
I discovered that we are having the same problem in an unfiltered view.
Could you please tell me how GA events may be causing this problem or where can I find more informaton to solve this?
Thank you,
Melisa
