Monthly Users vs Daily Users

Hello - We recently implemented a dashboard viewer called Klipfolio and I'm trying to reconcile the numbers showing up in Klipfolio vs those in Google Analytics. For the month of February, GA tells me we have 68,704 users, while Klipfolio show 80,562. When I look at the number of users in GA on a day-by-day basis for February and add those up, I come up with 80,562. I don't understand why the monthly report in GA shows 11,858 fewer users than the daily report. Hoping someone can explain this.

Hi :-)
Usually in GA, the total users for the wider date range/time period is deduped when an individual visits numerous times within the date range.

eg I visit your site on mon, tues, weds.
When looking at each daily total, I am seen as a user on mon, a user on tues and again as a user on weds,

yet if looking at users for the entire week, I would be seen as a single user generating 3 sessions, not 3 seperate users generating a session each.

Hi Bronwyn - This makes total sense. Thank you! But, just so I'm clear ... Users = unique users not total users. Is that correct?
