Missing analytics data

I have a self hosted Wordpress blog, and my site traffic has been unusually low in the last 24 hours. I have not made any recent changes to analytics, and the only filters I have are to block tracking from my IP address and spam websites. When I compare google analytics data to my Wordpress stats, there is a sizeable difference in traffic, even taking into account spam visits in the Wordpress stats. Can anyone help me out?

Hi Frank,

What you can do is compare the week previous to the drop with the week after and look at your source/medium in Analytics to get an idea of where you're losing traffic. If it's one channel, let us know and maybe we can help and if it's all channels then I'd start looking at the search queries to see if you simply had a spike in visits from one particular post.
