Mismatch in facebook clicks & google analytics reporting

Need some help in understanding the huge variation i am witnessing in the facebook clicks & google reporting of sessions.


  1. The reported sessions in google analytics are less than 30% of the clicks reported on facebook.
  2. The loading time for the landing page on our website is 4.7s for this campaign.
  3. GA code has been put right at the top for the landing page.
  4. I also understand that fb clicks need not be equal to sessions reported in ga, however i find the variation huge.

What could still be the reason for this huge variation and what can i possibly do to address this?
