Lost FB traffic by 50%

Hi,

I've been sending traffic to my website using FB, and it seems that GA only recorded less than half of the sessions from FB (all links are UTM tagged as facebook/cpc). I understand that there would be a drop off from clicks to session, but more than 50% seems rather absurd.

Has anyone experienced the same? And if so, any solutions to this? Appreciate the help.

Hi Hairi,

Same here! We put a unique link to test whether GA can record all the traffic from Facebook and the answer is GA lost 50% of the traffic! Very much disappointed.

And we notice that, according to GA default channel grouping, only 3% traffic can be attributed to Social Media, 0.3% to Direct and 96.7% to (Other)! Weird!

Please share the solution to us if there is any update of this question. Thank you so much!

Karen
