Hi how do i differentiate between website visitors and members who login in? Our login button is on the home page so we receive a mix of visitors and members visiting the same page...

1. i want to differentiate between the two

2. i want to re-target the visitors (ppc)

3. i want to calculate the total amount of visitors vs members

thanks!

Hi Jonny,

Set a User level custom dimension on the welcome page for visitors that log-in. You should also consider using USER ID.

More on both here:

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/field-reference#userId
(you'll also need to create a USER ID view)

Once you do that you can easily create a re-targeting audience and make it available to AdWords.

Best,
