Link Tracking

Hello,

we are new to G/A and I have been exploring the learning material online.

Just need help figuring out how to track a link thats embedded on a custom image based signature in an email.

We have several sales reps who use email and their signature has a link to our store.

Can we set up a tracking link that will measure which sales person generated the traffic? Do we need to have a custom tracking code for each sale rep, or can we use 1 for all of them?

Thank you

Hi,

You need to create tagged URLs using the URL builder.

You can specify the campaign name and the traffic source / medium so you'll be able to identify the traffic in GA. You can use the campaign content field to differentiate the sale reps.
Let me know if you have questions.
