Landing Page Session Data Inconsistency

I have a widget on my dashboard that displays the top landing pages sorted by session.

When I do a comparison for Mar 1, 2017-Mar 31, 2017 to the previous period, I get the following results for Page A:

Jan 29, 2017-Feb 28, 2017: 4,802 sessions

Mar 1, 2017-Mar 31, 2017: 6,259 sessions

When I do a comparison for Mar 1,2017-Mar 31, 2017 to the month of January, I get the following results for Page A:

Jan 1,2016-Jan 31, 2016: 5,632 sessions

Mar 1, 2017-Mar 31, 2017 - 6,214 sessions

When I change the comparison to previous year instead of previous period, I get the following results for Page A:

Mar 1, 2016-Mar 31, 2016: 7,076 sessions

Mar 1, 2017-Mar 31, 2017: 6,270 sessions

I do not change any filters or make any changes except for the comparison date. Why am I getting a different number for the same time period (Mar 1-Mar 31) every time I change the comparison date range?

I appreciate any help anyone can provide!

This is occurring for virtually every metric, preventing me from having one solid number for each metric when comparing against different time periods. I don't know which to use.
