How to view bounce rates or exit pages by Users?

Is there a way to get the # of users (rather than sessions) for bounce rate and for exit pages (rather than pageviews and just User Type)?

I understand the difference between exits and bounce rates, but I want to look at them through the lens of users, since that's how we're looking at site traffic and conversion rates. (Ours is a clinical trials site, where one person can only participant in a trial once, rather than an ecommerce site where one user could have many purchases.) Comparing unique pageviews, sessions, and events (outbound links) with the # of users is clearly apples to oranges, but I can't find information about how to handle the comparisons (or how to force GA to show me users for bounce rates and exits).

Any help would be much appreciated!
