How to track avarage time between events?

I'm interested in better understanding the login process.
A major question is how long do users need to complete a logging; recovering a password, changing a password; etc.

for each person who accesse a login page or widget I have a virtual page hit

for each person who login I have an event.

for each person who fails to login I also have an event (with the error)

Is there suggestion how to query analytics for the time it takes users to get at the error/sucess event following thir arrival at the login widget ?

Thank Oren

As far as I know there is no built in way calculate time between events. What you could do is create a custom dimension that time stamps the events and then you could probably create a custom metric based on the time stamps (but I've never built a custom metric, so I may be lying).
