How to segment a url segment by age?

Hi There,

We'd like to see if different age groups and genders are visiting certain sections of our site more than others.

We've tried going to:

  • Site content
  • Content Drilldown
  • Then /website-section-name
  • Then adding a secondary dimension of Users –> Age

But this multiples every page (500+) in the section by each age which makes it almost impossible to add up.

Is there a way to see a summary by age - something like:

18-24  /website-section-name  data  data

25-34  /website-section-name data  data

35-44  /website-section-name data  data

45-54  /website-section-name data  data

55-64  /website-section-name data  data

64+  /website-section-name data  data

Sorry, we're obviously using the wrong search terms as we can't figure this out.

Cheers

Ben

Hi Ben,

Content drilldown being the aggregated view of pages in path directories, it should work as you're trying if /website-section-name/ is a directory. It doesn't work if website-section-name is a page URL or part of page URLs.

In this case, you should bundle together pages first with Content Grouping [1] and then apply the combination with gender thereafter.
