How to prevent client reload checkout process to affect Checkout Behaviour?

I am using Shopify as my ecommerce platform, i found that the number on Checkout Behaviour (enhanced ecommerce) is weird.

The checkout process funnel in order:

1. Shipping Address

2. Shipping Method

3. Payment Method

4. Order Completed (thank you page)

As shown as the screenshot below step.3 is bigger than step.2, i thought the only reason is someone reload the page on step.3, so GA count one more time.

So did anyone have experience to prevent this issue or something i missing on GA setting?

Thanks you.

Hi Tat Ming,

Those are sessions, not pageviews. There could be lots of pageviews during one session and even if someone reloads a page, it could happen during this one session.

You don't have enough data to draw conclusions, to be honest. You should wait a bit more. There could be a situation when a user visited your payment method page, then was inactive on that page for 30 minutes or more and then interacted again with that page and sent a hit to Google Analytics (= 2 sessions).

Hope this helps.
