How to get 'search categories' to work with multiple instances?

I have a site with both multiple search filters and filter categories. I'm reasonably sure the search fields are working, but the filter categories aren't. In the Admin Panel > All Web Site Data > View Settings panel, I've turned on 'Site search categories' and added a bunch of categories, based on what my site produces. Since you can have multiple filters on a single category, they have array indices, such as 'rarity[0]' and 'colour[1]'. I'm guessing that adding 'rarity' to the list wouldn't work, I have to explicitly specify rarity[0] and so forth? That's what I've changed it to now, but I've not had any hits using the filters yet.

Hi Peter,

I believe you would need each variation of your square notation and that you would have an issue as you can only have a few (5 I think) site search categories in the results.

You may want to store these instead as custom dimensions. More on that here:
