How do browser privacy settings such as "tracking block" affect usage statistics?

Firefox has a Privacy settings such as "Request that sites not track you" and "Use Tracking Protection in Private Windows." Other browsers have similar features. How do such privacy settings affect Google Analytics use statistics? If someone has set their browser to block tracking are they counted by Google Analytics if they visit my site?

Thanks.

Bruce Google actually provides an add-on that allows the user to Opt-out of Google Analytics tracking and is available for most of the popular browsers IE, Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera to name a few. Plus a quick search shows a bunch of other extensions / add-ons that do the same thing. As for Private Browsing according to the KissMetrics bog if it is set in your visitors browser then the traffic will not be tracked by Google Analytics at all.
