How do I set up a report to pull data

I want to set up the following reports:

  • pull the data from our webstore to create a dealer list
  • what dealers we currently do business with in Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan and Pennsylvania to start
  • create a data base of all of our dealers state by state

Thank you in advance for your help,

 Jylian

Do you do your business with dealers via your webstore?

Can you identify your dealers when they visit your webstore (login or some other means)?

And do you record the identifier of the dealer to Google Analytics?

You can get a list of your dealers using Custom Reports

In navigation: Customization -> Custom Reports

Create a new custom report and set the dimension to where Dealer identifier is stored

As Metric you can set a session for example

You can later expand this report if you need other pieces of information.

Next edit the custom report you just made and add a reporting tab (you can always create a totally new report if you like)

Add dimension: State

Add a drill down dimension the identifier of the dealer

As metric choose the most relevant (transactions, revenue...).

Now when you look at your report you can see all the states, when you click on the state you can get all the dealers in that state.

If you want just Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan and Pennsylvania add this to the search box between the table chart and graph:

Ohio|West Virginia|Michigan|Pennsylvania

Let me know if this meets your needs.
