Google analytics changes after the website shifted to https

Hello Support team,

       Our website was recently modified to default to https mode with necessary 301 redirection. It would be helpful if you can guide us regarding the google analytics changes that should be made.

    In the Admin->Property settings,
     the default site url is in http format (eg:http://www.xyz.com) with protocol selected as http. As our default site is now in https,do we need to edit and update to https there?  Will the modification there affect in any way the analytic information capturing related to  session,direct click, transaction  etc.

Thanks

Hi, switching from HTTP to HTTPS has absolutely no bearing on your site's Google Analytics configuration.
You can adjust the site URL in your property/site settings for cosmetic purposes but that's about it.
