Google Analytics Not Tracking United States

The last two weeks, Google Analytics has stopped tracking all viewers from the United States, along with the "Real-Time."  It is tracking users/viewers from Russia and China, but not the United States, which is where all of our business is.  Any ideas as to why it suddenly stopped?  I have been using Google Analytics for about a year and have never run into this problem. Thank you.

 Hi @Mary Catherine M :-)

Have you checked your website to see if the tracking code is still correctly installed.
You can do this with the following browser add on - Google Tag Assistant

Sounds like you may also be getting spam data in your reports too.

You need to setup a new view with filters applied to prevent the spam data from

appearing in the reports.
Its a long read but worth taking the time to do so, it explains the differnt types of spam data

and how to setup the filters necessary for removing it from the reports

Pls post back if you have further questions
