GA multi-channel funnels (MCF) Sub continent (not set)

Hi all!

Many people ask: "What does "(not set)" in my GA mean?" My problem is slightly different: since Sep-2015 I have "not set" for most (98%) of values of "Sub Continent Region" (ga:subContinent) , but only in Multi-Channel Funnel (MCF) reports (e.g. Assisted Conversions report).

What makes it even worse, is that:

  • it is "not set" only for MCF reports, e.g. works properly for Location reports (Audience -> Geo -> Location)
  • it also affects the MCF data for previous months: ~98% of values are "not set" (I have monthly MCF report exports starting Jan-2015, from the very same view, those had proper Sub Continent in place).

I believe it might be connected with the GA update this September. Anybody else faced the issue?

Best regards,

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

looks the same in my accounts - seems to be a bug affecting continent, sub-continent, and country. City seems to be okay.

Anyone knows how to best communicate bugs to the Google Analytics team?

Christoph
