First Time Visit

Hi,
I'm trying work out how Goal Conversions are calculated for New Users.
In Adobe Analytics I have something we call First Time Visit - it counts only conversions during first visit. In other words if someone, in set time-frame, returned (2nd Visit) and Converted, it is not counted.
Because in Google Analytics it called New Users, I want to make sure that conversions are calculated only based on 1st Session/Visit, not on all New User/Visitor lifetime activity.
Thanks for all help.
G

First Time visits in GA called as New visits in that time frame. From the 2nd time onwards these are called returned visits to the site.

Apply New Visits Segment to the Conversion funnel to get the First time users conversion in that specific time frame.

Thanks so much.
I compared two segments New Users and New Visitors and results are identical. I would expect that New Users will be evaluated on Visitor/User level (not Visit level) therefore their life time value. You can never be sure of anything Smiley Wink
Thanks again.

@Nanda is right, but also keep in mind that returning users may appear as new users if their cookie expires, I believe the default is 6 months. You can change this to up to 2 years under Admin > Property > Tracking Info > Session Settings. This will give you better control over which visitors are considered new or returning.
