Good morning,

Actually i've a strange problem on my website with GA.

I've setted up the IP exclusion with my IPV4, but my analytics still showing me my connections in real-time.
I made sure i set up the views correctly, so that's not the problem.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you!

Hi Piero,

How have you set up your filter? I have done it in the past like so:

Custom Filter Type

Exclude > Filter Field: IP Address > Filter Pattern: (regex statement with IP address in it.)

And then applied it to the selected views. Here is an example of the regex statement that was used:

^123\.456\.(178\.(1(9[0-9])|2([0-4][0-9]|5[0-5]))|((1(79|[8-9][0-9])|2(0[0-7]))\.([0-9]|[1-9][0-9]|1([0-9][0-9])|2([0-4][0-9]|5[0-5])))|208\.([0-9]|[1-9][0-9]|1([0-9][0-9])|2([0-4][0-9]|5[0-3])))$

*Where 123\.456\. defines the first 2 groups of digits, then the rest is a catch-all to capture anything within the range of 123.456.178.190 to 123.456.208.253.

Thank you Ryan for your replay,

Actually i've the IP anonymization, cause of Italians privacy laws, and even if i've setup the filter with Custom setup and Equal to my IP, it doesn't work.

I cannot aswell setup a regex filter, because i run the risk of user's exclusion.

I think there is an alternative solution, even if i'm anonymizing ip adresses.
