Events disappear when I expand the date range

When I view my events for teen registrations (with a secondary dimension of source/medium) for July 18-19, you can see that several sources referred these events, including bing and duckduckgo.com:

When I expand my date range from July 18-19 to July 1-19, a lot of the sources are missing:

(These two rows are the only results).

It makes sense to me that organic google & direct increased when I expanded my date range, but what happened to sources like cnn and duckduckgo? Didn't they refer events on July 18-19? Why would they not show up if I look at July 1-19?

Any insight anyone has would be much appreciated.

Hi Mcihelle,

Are you getting sampled data? (Custom reports, segments and secondary dimensions can trigger sampling). This could explain the discrepancy.
