Entrances vs Landing page

I would like to know what the difference is between entrances and landing pages.

I'm trying to make a dashboard for a specific page and in one of the widgets I want to display the number of times the page functions as first page of a session (whether or not it bounced).

Thanks!

Entrances and Landing Pages both represents the same, its first Page/Screen of the user sessions on the site.

In GA, Landing Page will be used, in other tools Entrances will be used.

Hi Grietje,

Landing Page is a dimension that shows the pages through which visitors entered the site.

Entrances is a metric that shows how many times visitors entered the site through a specific page.

Hope this helps.
