Do page re-directs have any affect on the bounce rate?

Hi Brittany,

It depends. If the redirect happens before the tracking library is being loaded for Google Analytics or whatever kind of web analytics package you're running, it shouldn't have an impact. But if the tracking library is being loaded before the redirect, it might have an impact.

Basically, if 2 or more hits are being sent to Google Analytics in one session, it's not a bounce anymore.

Recommend reading a topic where me and Arnold M both described how bounce rate is being calculated: https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Reports/Bounce-and-Sessions/td-p/599111

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
